Gearing Up for your Backcountry Adventure in Haines, Alaska
Coming to ski or ride in the Chilkat Range is serious backcountry travel. Conditions can change quickly, and having the right equipment set up properly is a big part of staying safe and enjoying your trip. Below is an overview of the gear we require and what we recommend you bring to make the most of your heli skiing experience with SEABA.

— Powder Skis (>110mm) or Snowboard
— Ski Strap (provided)
— Helmet (not provided)
The above gear is included in our all inclusive heli skiing packages. However, SEABA recommends bringing your own gear that you are familiar operating. Using gear you already know will make you more efficient in the field and during safety drills.
Also note that we can fill your BCA tanks and have ABS tanks for sale (pay if deployed).

— Motorola or equivalent 2-way radio (with extra batteries)
— BCA radio link with mic
— Goggles (with an extra flat light lens)
— Neck gaiter or similar item
— Extra gloves, warm clothes and layers
— Waterproof boots (i.e. Sorels, Extra Tuffs, etc.)
— Boot warmers (i.e. Hottronics)
— Water bottle or thermos
— Sunblock
