Austin is the newest member of our team that is coming to us from the Pacific Northwest to give a huge boost in all aspects of our company. His mountaineering experience, his strong leader ship and mountain stewardship values will help us develop even more depth to our team. He is excited by beginning to invest in developing a better ski plane program that will help us deliver safe, and exciting new routes and adventures! Austin is all about skiing and being with genuine people in the backcountry sharing the mutual enjoyment that these activities generate!

Austin Shannon grew up in Bend Oregon where his love for the mountains began.  He followed his passion to Colorado for college at Colorado Christian University.  During his time in Colorado he enjoyed all that it had to offer, from rock and ice climbing, to skiing and mountaineering.  Austin has been professionally guiding since 2008.  During that time he has climbed all over the world in places such as Central and South America, Alaska, and the Himalaya.  Austin has had training in Wilderness First Responder, Avalanche level 3.  He is an AMGA certified Rock and Alpine guide and will be finishing up the ski discipline shortly.  When he’s not guiding you’re likely to find Austin attached to a rock face somewhere or on his skis pointing downhill.
